What we do

Welcome to HotRock!

It’s so great to meet you and your children! Here at Living Rock we’re committed to raising a generation of world-changers – boys and girls who know Jesus loves them, grow deep roots in Him and in the Bible, and show his love to their friends and family.

We’ve been leading our children’s ministry for over 20 years and love to see all our HotRock families growing closer to Jesus and experiencing all that he has for them.

We know being a parent can be tough, but we’re here to help! We’ve created loads of resources for parents and children designed to equip you to be the very best you can be.

What We Do

HotRock on Sundays

We believe God wants a relationship with children whatever age they are. We run different age groups on Sundays during our Sunday Celebration to help continue what you are already doing at home.

Parenting faith looks different for all of us so we have prepared a variety of resources and tools you may find helpful to try at home. Just choose whichever fits with your family. We’d also love to hear your stories and ideas of what you have tried in your home so we can encourage each other together.

Annual Summer Conference

Each Summer we get together with families from across the UK for a fun-filled conference. Our children enjoy daily sessions where they can make new friends, learn more about Jesus, play silly games and play their part in making a difference in countries in need.

Our Three Tremendous Truths

Our vision is to partner with parents in nurturing their child’s personal relationship with Jesus, where every child is firmly rooted in the Word of God, full of the power of the Holy Spirit and ready to tell the world the Good News about Jesus.

HotRock on Sundays

We believe God wants a relationship with children whatever age they are. We run a number of groups for children on a Sunday morning, both in our Central congregation and in Market Harborough, designed to help continue what you are already doing at home and to create a space to form amazing friendships!

Sundays in Central

Checking in & collecting your child or children

  • Please Check-in your child/ren at the Welcome Desk on arrival. If your child has any additional or medical needs please make us aware of these in order that we can tailor our care and support to them.
  • On the majority of weeks where there is Children’s Ministry, there will be an announcement from the front to inform you to take your child/ren to their groups. Ask a HotRock team member in a blue polo shirt or a member of the Welcome Team if you are unsure where to go.
  • If your child is unsettled you are welcome to stay with them for part or all of the session as necessary.
  • At the end of the morning meeting, please collect your child/ren promptly from their group. A HotRock leader will coordinate this so please follow their instructions.
Our Central location

Creche Groups

HotRock 1 (0 yrs to 18 months)

HotRock 2 (18 months to 3 years)

The Creche is a safe space where we offer support and encouragement for both parents and their babies. The room is available for your use throughout the morning, particularly if you are a feeding mum and need somewhere to feed in private.

You may just want to sit and listen to the live adult message, stay and play or leave your baby with our dedicated and experienced team of leaders. We are here for you in whatever way is most helpful; whether you would like a drink, to pray with someone or just chat. You choose.

Pre School Groups

HotRock 3 (3 years to 5 year)

Our heart is for every child to know that God loves them and for them to get to know who Jesus is. We do this through fun and creative ways, which are visual and interactive including learning Bible stories, making things, singing together and playing games. We believe God can use children to minister to the whole church and want to encourage them to hear from and talk to God through prayer and worship. Our pre school groups also make use of Story Sacks and sensory equipment on Sundays!

Primary Age Groups

HotRock 4 (school year 1 to year 3)

HotRock 5 (school year 4 to year 6)

Our vision for the primary aged children is that they would grow in their personal relationship with Jesus, to know that He is with them always and has empowered them to live a supernatural life of power and boldness through the work of the Holy Spirit. Each session will involve reading the Bible, praying and listening to God, as well as playing lots of games, enjoying craft and having fun together. Some weeks we even have our own dynamic worship time!

Sundays in Market Harborough

Our Market Harborough location

Pre School Group

0 yrs to 5 years

Our vision for the crèche is to provide support and encouragement to both parents and babies. It is available for your use throughout the morning should you be a feeding mum and need somewhere to feed in private. We have a dedicated and experienced team of leaders who will be on duty to look after your baby once the children have been released from the main meeting to their groups. You are more than welcome to leave your baby with our team or stay with them if you prefer. Our pre school groups also make use of Story Sacks on Sundays!

Primary Age Groups

Group 1 (school year 1 to year 3)

Group 2 (school year 4 to year 6)

We believe God wants a relationship with all of us. Just let our Child Check-in or HotRock team know if there is anything we can do to help you to help your children grow in their walk with Jesus. We have a team of people and resources who are here for you if you need us.
