Due to UK government advice, Living Rock Church is suspending all gatherings, events and groups (regardless of size and location) with immediate effect.
These are definitely interesting times! Although the world may be troubled by fear, doubt and anxiety; the good news is that we have all we need to be a people of faith, peace and hope. We will stay strong and confident as we keep our eyes on Jesus, draw on His wonderful Holy Spirit and put our confidence in our awesome Heavenly father. There’s loads of important information on this page to help us continue to help one another.
Over the coming weeks, although we won’t be able to physically meet; we are really keen to make sure that we are all encouraged and built up, that we feel connected and cared for, and we are able to continue to play our part and honour God.
So here are some ways to help make sure this happens:
Online Sunday gatherings
Whilst we cannot meet together on Sundays during this time we will continue a rhythm of gathering as a church at 10:00am on Sunday mornings. All Living Rock locations will be joining together to watch the Sunday message, interact with others from Living Rock digitally, use the integrated Bible App, request prayer and read through the message notes. Once the meeting is over the message will be made available to watch back any time.
When you visit our online message platform you can join the chat feed with either a nickname or by creating an account. We’d strongly encourage you to create an account so that you can join the conversation any time without needing to create a new nickname each time! Just follow the prompts on the live video platform.
Each Friday we’ll post links to worship playlists on YouTube so you can watch/sing along at home, on your own or with your family. We’ll update the lists weekly and will include some familiar songs and some newer songs, all to help us recognise different aspects of who God is.
We’d encourage you to play through this playlist from 10am each Sunday to give some time to worship before the Sunday message.
HotRock (Children’s Ministry)
Lisa will be sending out downloadable activities and crafts for parents to do with their children each week. Also look out for other helpful resources and links coming from our Children’s Ministry Team. Read more below.
Info for Parents
HotRock at Home
We’ve created a page that parents can access any time full of helpful advice, information and content for you to use at home with your children, to help them in their relationship with Jesus and to engage with what is going on.
Content includes things such as links to worship songs for children, activities to try at home, downloadable crafts, Sunday message engagement sheets, helpful links and more.
The page is being updated weekly, so be sure to keep checking back!
HotRock Families Facebook Group
We are regularly posting information and content into the HotRock Families Facebook group, and it’s a great place for parents to chat and share ideas with each other on how to help our children during this time.
If you are not a member of this group, send an email to [email protected]
Over the coming months let’s use our mobile phones well, especially to help us make sure that everyone is being looked after. We know this is happening already, and people are staying connected, but we ask that you make a real effort to particularly keep in touch with your fellow life group members and life group leader. If you’re not yet signed up to a group, please do this as soon as possible. Being in regular contact with our groups will help us encourage, support and pray for one another.
Life Group connections will continue, but things will have to work a bit differently to normal. We’re encouraging Life Group Leaders to arrange the best form of contact for their group – this could be via WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype, FaceTime etc. Although we are not be able to meet in person we know that groups will find time to video chat and message each other. All our Life Group Leaders will be given helpful tips and tools to keep us all connected.
During the weeks we will be regularly sending out a thought for the day, these will be short video messages, containing scriptures and words of encouragement to bless and strengthen us. Please look out for these, and feel free to share them on social media and places like WhatsApp… We really do need to spread hope and faith into the world around us. The world definitely needs good news!
These videos will be posted to YouTube, shown on our live video platform and shared across our social media channels (including the LRC Members Facebook Group). They will also be shared with Life Group Leaders to pass on to their groups.
Videos will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8am – be sure to tune in and watch it with the whole church!
Worship, Word, Around The Table
Wednesday evenings at 7pm will include different things each week: 15-20 mins of worship, a deeper dive into something in the Word of God, or the opportunity to get around the table as a church family and take part in The Lord’s meal together.
Living Rock Church Members Facebook Group
We’re aware that the majority of our church is on Facebook and it does offer a great way to be able to update everyone with news, messages and media resources. We want to use Facebook as one of the primary ways of getting information out quickly, so we’d encourage all members to join Facebook and then join the members group, even if it’s only for the next few weeks!
Not a member of Living Rock?
Hello & welcome to our website! It’s so great to have you here. Although the Facebook Group above is set up as a private group for members, we still want to connect with you if you’re new around here. If you’d like to find out more about who we are, how you can get connected with us, or why the Coronavirus doesn’t scare us, reach out to us on any of our social media channels or by email – [email protected]
Not a member of Living Rock yet? No worries! You can find us on most social media channels.
One of the easiest, fastest and most effective ways that we can share information, helpful content and short videos is via Social Media. If you don’t follow us online yet, we’ve pasted the links below to our different channels.
If you need anything...

The church office will be available to call most days between 9am and 5pm.
