God is so good and this is wonderfully expressed at the end of Numbers 6. Let’s look at the powerful priestly blessing, and see what it means for us as Christians today.
We take some time to overview the book of Numbers and then explore hints and pictures that point to Christ, they help us to see who Jesus is and what He has done.

When we read books of the bible (or any books for that matter!), it is always helpful to know background and context in which they are written. Before we begin to look at the book of Numbers, let’s firstly remind ourselves of the story so far…
We consider God’s goodness and how He wants us to know, enjoy and share this goodness with everyone, at every opportunity.
God is so generous and kind, He gives the best gifts! The Holy Spirit wants enable every believer to speak tongues, and we look at why this gift is so important and how we can use it well.
We consider what breaking bread means and how it can benefit us, particularly in helping us to know a deeper unity with our church family.
God’s church is wonderfully and beautifully diverse, and yet it is also united and expresses perfect one-ness! We look at how different the disciples were, and yet how they were brought together as they followed Jesus.
Easter Sunday is a great day to think about who Jesus is and what He has done. Jesus came for everyone. We look at the story of His crucifixion to see that He truly is a cosmopolitan, all-inclusive redeemer.
What will help us continue the mission God has made us for? We talk about some of the key ways we can keep going and change the world with Good News of Jesus and His Kingdom!
We take three examples where Jesus shows the importance of how the Holy Spirit helps us to be discerning, and not to judge on the outward appearance.

There is immense power in the precious name of Jesus! We look at Acts 4 and see how the name of Jesus changes everything. That by His name we know acceptance with God, association with other Christians and authority to see His power released through us; for His glory.
In his letters, John focuses on the life, light and love of God. In living out the divine life of God, every believer can also expect to live in His light and love. We take time to see how we can enjoy and express a fullness of truth AND love.

God has a plan for every family, He has a plan for your family. When we put God first, our households will be whole and blessed. We look at Joshua’s example in how we can ensure that ‘as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord’.
In Joshua 24 and Exodus 23 we read that God goes ahead of His people. We need to remember that He has a plan for our lives, which means He has a plan for us each and every day. As we follow Him we can be totally confident of victory not matter what challenge or situation we might face.
Joshua 20 describes cities that God set up to offer safe haven for those who were on the run. In these days, God wants our homes and churches to also be available, accessible, safe and secure; to rescue and restore those who need saving from sin and death.
God loves family! He wants our families and households to be secure and blessed, and to be a blessing. This will come about when we, like Joshua’s declare, ‘As for me and my family, we will worship GOD’. We look at how his example will help us ensure we too have whole households.
The book of Joshua covers around 30 years of history and describes how God leads His people, by faithful and obedient leadership, into His amazing promises. In this session we set the scene of this great book of the Bible, look at God’s plan and the great heroes of faith within it.
In Romans 12:9-10 Paul exhorts us to really love our Christian brother and sister, to be committed to philadelphia. So how can we love one another in this way, how can we express and enjoy this precious brotherly love?
In looking at Romans 8:27-39 we read about Jesus’ covenant love for those who believe. Is it really unbreakable, unchangeable, relentlessly faithful; even in the face of pressures, troubles, loss and death? The answer is a resounding and wonderful ‘Yes!’.
We look again at the importance of small groups in the life of the church, and consider how we can play our part as a member of the Body of Christ in making our group strong, healthy and full of life!
